Question 1

Is the daily case free to play?

Accepted Answer

Yes. A published MysteryDrop case is free to play. If the daily case page says that no case is currently published, check back later.

Question 2

How do hints work?

Accepted Answer

Hints are optional and appear progressively, one at a time. Choose “Reveal hint” to see the next hint in the case’s set order.

Question 3

What does answer feedback mean?

Accepted Answer

After you check an answer, MysteryDrop tells you whether it matches an answer accepted for that case. An accepted answer gets correct feedback; otherwise, the game says the answer is not accepted for this case, and you can try again.

Question 4

Do I need an account to play?

Accepted Answer

No. You can play a published case as a guest. When browser storage is available, guest hint and solved progress is kept in that browser and is not synced to other browsers or devices.

Question 5

Can I resume my progress on another device?

Accepted Answer

When you are signed in, revealed hints and solved-case progress sync to your account and load when you sign in on another device. Guest progress is not automatically added to your account when you sign in, so sign in before playing if you want that progress synced.
